Moons
Edit
Okay, just for grins I pulled out the book and looked for the number of moons, since it seems a point of contention. I found the following line:
"Outside, not far from where the survey ship hovered, immobile during Gamma Night, the newly claimed Federation planet of Belle Terre hung in space with its butter-yellow sun way beyond it. Out of direct sight were six of the planet’s nine moons."
And since the number of colonists appears to be in contention, here's this line:
"They’ve got seventy-two ships so far, to move sixty-four thousand colonists."

- That seems to solve the issue really, nine moons.. wow, thats quite a few. Perhaps an italic section in the article stating that it says nine moons in order to avoid any possible contention in the future? – Darth Batrus 21:43, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- Why would it need to be italicised? That's a perfectly valid piece of information that should be an integral part of the article... --8of5 22:11, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
True, but someone wrote the article under the assumption that it had one, or two moons. I'm actually hoping TimPendragon comes back with his source for two moons; his apparent knowledge was the only reason I didn't immediately change the article. It's been forever since I read the book, so maybe there's other contradictory data. --Captain Savar 22:19, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- Hey, guys. On vacation, but I have brief access to a computer here. I only remembered the two moons (the Quake Moon, and the Needle). I don't have the book handy, but if Savar has the above quote from the book, then it sure is nine moons. My "two moons" comment was a revert from an anon (I think) who had switched it to one, which I knew was innaccurate. If Wagon Train to the Stars or Belle Terre says there's 9 moons, then there's nine. --TimPendragon Hail 20:13, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
