It looks like it was Lieutenant Ayala who added that point, and also added a citation to Star Trek: Star Charts. Afraid I don't have the book to confirm it as the source, though... --Seventy 15:35, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Definitely from Star Charts. Betazed is referred to as Beta Zeta V incidentally. --The Doctor 18:52, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Does anyone know the source of the statement that Betazed joined the Federation in 2273? There's nothing cited.

I removed that line, then went on and filled out some of the early Federation-related history, after my discussions in Forum:Contact with Betazed, since I did all the research. BadCatMan 12:41, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

BetaZ Edit

I posted this over at Memory Alpha but thought I would cross post it here:

Shouldn't the planet be written as "BetaZ" since they use Queens English (at least in TNG), and "Z is pronounced "zed" its logical to assume that the planets name should be "BetaZ".
