Talk:Chakotay
Back to page
Canon is that Chakotay was born in 2329. The date was visible on his gravestone in "Endgame"'s alternate future. See http://www.memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Image:Chakotays_grave.jpg --Emperorkalan 00:52, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks Emperor, I didn't know that. I was going by the novel Pathways. Thanks for that. -- Bok2384 07:52, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
- This page previously had Chakotay serving on the USS Magellan in 2368. The citation was Pathways, but in that novel, it is the Gettsyburg that he is serving on under Captain Gordon. Is there another source that connects him with the Magellan? Also, I read the Gage section in Pathways as saying that he transferred to the Gage before the four years of fighting, not after so I changed the date to 2362. --Jdvelasc 06:28, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Trebus or Dorvan V
Edit
Pathways states the Chakotay comes from Trebus, but the VOY Relaunch says he comes from Dorvan V. Should the references to Trebus be replaced by Dorvan V? Or should we just have Trebus redirect to Dorvan V? Does Pathways give us any reason to believe that they're different planets, or could we assume that Dorvan V is the official name and Trebus is what it's called by the inhabitants? – CapnCrunch 06:32, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Keep them separate, but note the discrepency (and two-names possibility). Information about Dorvan V as Chakotay's homeworld from the relaunch should be kept separate from details fo Dorvan V from other sources ("kept separate" simply means a different paragraph, or maybe a subsection on Chakotay's homeworld. Just to keep the Chakotay-related information from getting intermeshed with other data.)--Emperorkalan 16:17, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
Chakotay not in command of Voyager anymore
Edit
Where is the source for this, sounds like fanon to me.--Typhuss 12:25, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- As I understand it, that happens in the early parts of Full Circle. -- sulfur 12:34, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Chakotay regains command?
Edit
The part about Chakotay regaining command of USS Voyager is not in Full Circle. Either the reference is wrong (does it happen in Unworthy???) or is someone making stuff up again? – CommodoreFisher 19:39, October 5, 2009 (UTC)
