This is the worst episode of TNG, and perhaps of the entire Star-Trek franchise, ever produced. Combining blatant racism, wooden acting with and uninspired direction; this is an embarrassment to the genre of Science Fiction in general, and Star-Trek in particular.
I am sorry that it is so bad.--162.83.18.81 11:44, 25 August 2007
Of course its only racist because it depicts black people. If it depicted White people being shown as Conan type or Viking barbarians no one would ever have complained, let alone lamented it for years. The irony of this PC society is that those who say they combat racism are simply racists in disguise. The same people who would criticize this episode for its alleged racism would never criticize the exact same story if it portrayed White people. Take for example the TNG episode "Up the Long Ladder". Here is an episode that identically like Code of Honor portrays one culture, in this case Irish culture, as completely backwards. Where are the outcrys of "blatant racism" for Up the Long Ladder? Where are the self righteous anti-racists to stand up and say that this episode shows blatant racism and stereotypes to White Irish people? You cannot deny it. You may be able to rationalize why Code of Honor is racist but up the Long Ladder is not racist, but in the end you are simply defending your own form of selective racism.--99.240.0.217 02:31, 15 February 2008

Here. And in pretty much every review of the episode since it aired. That said, there are a bazillion other websites for this kinda stuff; why we need it here is beyond me. --Seventy 03:47, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
...which is for reviews.
Actually, we need to take some effort to remove all of these "review" sections -- there's no real cause for "individual opinions" on a site that is set up to be encyclopedic (meaning we relate facts, with sources) rather than a site which features opinionation and criticism (which involves individual viewpoints that cannot be easily related to sources). -- Captain MKB 04:13, 15 February 2008 (EST)
