Apparantly there is a reference to a Cortez in Some Assembly Required. Is it the Cortez mentioned in DS9 S6? -- DS9 Forever 22:47, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
- No, the Cortez from DS9 was destroyed. --Farragut79 02:14, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- There is a reference to a Cortez in Some Assembly Required. Was the Cortez confirmed as destroyed in "Far Beyond the Stars", because that could leave some wiggle room for it being the same ship. --The Doctor 08:21, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- The MA USS Cortéz article confirms my memory; the ship was presumed destroyed by hostile forces, but a six-hour search turned up no survivors. However, MA's Quentin Swofford page indicates that the ship was indeed destroyed. Given the relationship between Swofford and Sisko, I think they'd relay information if they were alive or not destroyed. --Captain Savar 14:33, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah its definitely a bit of a gray area, I mean it could be assumed that maybe Swofford and his crew were taken prisoners with no trace left, but that involves to much creativity on our part. Probably simpler to list the 2376 Cortez as a different ship. --The Doctor 22:29, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
