This article tries unsuccessfully to merge the history of the real Kobayashi Maru with the history, registry, and class designations of the fictional Kobayashi Maru.

The fictional Kobayashi Maru is presented in a simulation and would make sense that it changes class and registry based on the way the cadets address the current events of their training, therefor that information is not at all relevant to the vessel lost in 2155.
