What's the source placing Weytahn in this system? It's not Star Charts, nor any of the Rise of the Federation books, and certainly not "Cease Fire" itself. I haven't been able to track down where that might come from. --TimPendragon (talk) 15:03, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

Having been recently added by user:Shisma, it stands to reason this is Fleet Command info, as that is Shisma's focus - but it would sit better in the article if we could get a clarified citation -- captainmike Wiki-wordmarkX 15:11, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
Yes, fleet command has a system called Axanar which contains a planet(oid?) called Weytahn--Shisma 19:57, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
to be fair. its not very clear what a exactly a system represents in this game. It seems to coincide with a Star system in some cases. --Shisma 20:01, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
I agree - I haven't played the whole spiel but i have watched some videos of the gameplay - it would seem this is the source that TimPendragon was looking for.
As an aside, it is possible for star systems to vary in size. after all, one star can have several planets orbiting it, but it could also have several other stars in orbit - each of them possibly with planets. so even if it seems like two planets shouldnt be neighbors by the implication of other continuity, they can still be in the same "system" without being direct neighbors or even extemely close. -- captainmike •••• 20:43, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
Some systems have no central star. some systems have no planet at all. most systems have planets missing. some systems show planets in a wrong order (assuming that the center of the system is actually the center of gravity). Some systems are the hole of a Doomsday machine. Three systems (Magaera, Tisiphone, Alecto) seem to be three sides of an enormous Borg Cube (or maybe three distinct borg cubes? who knows…)--Shisma 16:05, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
Yes, the game presents a very simplified version of how the systems work, so we can rationalize how these work - when they conflict with other sources (if there's no conflict then we are only fed info from Fleet Command and no other source calls it into question). For example, even though the game shows a simple system, in some cases we know there are binary, trinary etc stars that are absent in the game
So in this case, we can see that Weytahn is in the vicinity of Axanar, as we see from Fleet Command. Any other conflicting source could be rationalized in one of the above ways -- captainmike •••• 16:32, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
is there any reason why Weytahn couldn’t be in the axanar system? One would assume it should be claimed by the axanar. Like humanity would probably claim Pluto -88.130.49.57 20:18, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
Well we have a possibility against assumption here on the wiki. as to the nature of that assumption - that a planet in the same star system as another planet be claimed by a civilization with a homeworld in that system rather than another more distant power - well, there are a number of problems with it. right now we can't claim Pluto because we can't get ourselves together enough to go there and do anything with it. we're too primitive. if we got to Pluto and found that other aliens were claiming it, same problem. -- captainmike •••• 21:59, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
