Is this article really necessary? Isn't the "Federation Government" actually the same entity that is described at United Federation of Planets? -- Captain MKB 14:39, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
- I think it's safe to say that the article is woefully undeveloped -- which is partially my fault; I began the article years ago and have never gotten around to fully writing it -- but I don't think that it's the same thing at all. The Federation is a stateWP, not a governmentWP. It has a government, yes. But just like, say, GermanyWP is not the same entity as the German governmentWP, the Federation is not the same thing as the Federation government. -- Sci 16:38 2 NOV 2009 UTC
