As I mention on the information section of this page, this novel (and therefore Evolution as well should be placed in 2375. I haven't read the prelude to Spirit Walk (the timeline puts it in early 2375) which is, as far as I can tell, the only conceivable reason it might have to be placed earlier in 2374.
