Talk:Ghost Ship

The Nimitz was the first of her class. Enterprise was an experiment. That's why Enterprise has eight nuclear reactors, and all the nimitz class boats only have two. – AT2Howell 21:15, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, pal, but we aren't writing about real-life military history here. In the book, the ship was mentioned to be an Enterprise class ship. Obviously, this is inconsistent with the real life facts, and that can be noted in the article about the ships that were referenced like that -- but that's how it is in the book and we are here to document what is in the books.. -- Captain MKB 21:22, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's been about twenty years since I read it, so I'll believe you. If I remember correctly, the big E and the big John were both started as Kitty Hawk class carriers. The Enterprise got experimental reactors, the Kennedy got experimental structures. The Nimitz class learned the lessons from those two ships' successes (and failures). But, as you say, we aren't going for history here. – AT2Howell 21:32, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
I think it would be best to subdivide too -- we can list both classes here, i think, with a note in the GW's article about the incongruity... -- Captain MKB 21:37, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Edit
It says it was published in 1998. Was it not 1988? RicoRichmond 14:55, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
