This story claims Taylor was 38 in 1986, which is not generally considered to be the case.

An anonymous user added this comment earlier today, and has my slightly confused by it. Her age is generally not considered to be the case... by who? Taylor's age of 38 would mean that she was born in 1948, which is quite reasonable with the 1951 date given in the article, although admittedly I can't find that date anywhere. Gods, Stripey is sick of this 'anonymous user' label. As for Taylor, most fans use Catherine Hicks' age for Taylor, and that wasn't 38 [User: Stripey].

I may be mistaken, but facts that are stated take presidence over "some fans think", so I suggest the 1948 birth year stands. As for being branded an anonymous user, you are, you have no user name, just writing down [User: Stripey] doesn't make it so if you haven't logged in. When I plan on making edits I always sign on to the wiki as it makes it easier to identify who has contributed what, and for any relevant discussions. --Bok 15:24, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Well, Stripey, you sign your posts on "discussion" pages like this one, but every time you make a change to a page when you aren't signed in, the "Recent Changes" and the page's "History" page will always show the changes as being made from an anonymous I.P. Unless you expect us to memorize your computers I.P.#, people will probably continue to think of you as being "anonymous" because the name "Stripey" doesn't appear in the history if you're not signed in. – Turtletrekker 23:23, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm part of the Pocket Books timeline team who have developed and worked on the last few timelines Pocket has published. We went with Gillian being the same age as Catherine Hicks as there was no other information on her published at the time we developed the timeline.
