I can check the tech manual when I get home (unless someone gets to it first). As for the second point, in a manner similar to US elections, the candidate does not immediately take office after winning an election. The candidacy and election was in 2372; the change of office was in 2373. It makes perfect sense, and is correct. --Savar 20:43, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Consulted the tech manual. If our IP contributor is commenting on the opening quote from Inyo in the first section, the quote does not necessarily imply that he is still in power in October 2373. Again, drawing similarities to the US system, ex-Presidents are still addressed as "President" after they leave office. --Savar 03:10, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
