Species[]

M'yra is a very interesting character, and would make an excellent subject for some fanfics. And as fascinating as she looks she, or another member of her species would make a good character for an on-line RPG.

Beyond that, it would just be cool, if her species was listed in her article here on Memory Beta. I've done a pretty good search on the net for information on her, and I also have a book compiling the Trial of Captain Kirk comics... and I can't find any reference to the name of her species.

Is it specified anywhere ?

I know Peter David puts a lot of information into his characters, especially in his New Frontier Novels; so I'd be surprised if M'yra's species isn't given somewhere... – 69.6.185.129 22:15, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

I know that the character was initially intended to be M'Ress, and indeed preliminary artwork depicted M'Ress. However, the character was redrawn as M'yra after Richard Arnold (or his cronies) vetoed the use of the character. Therefore, she was initially meant to be Caitian, but to my knowledge her species was never revealed. --Dr. John Smith 22:22, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello! I use M'yra in a hungarian fanfic story arc(USS al-Qazwini), and I speculated, that she was a covert agent from a time traveling furies fraction. (Furies, as in the Invasion crossover.) But of course this information is not canon. (Bye: Bardajszan)

G'day! Peter David was never given the chance to give her species a name. M'yra is named for Peter's first wife, Myra David, and was a last-minute redraw of M'Ress.
