Well (not having read the NF series) a google search for Janos and Mugato brings up a bunch of pages calling him a Mugato, then some say it's implied he's a mugato, and then there's this page: [1] which says "Now I can't wait for the next NF novel (#12) - and hopefully also the return of Ensign Janos, the only sentient Mugato in the galaxy." that seems to imply some sort of back story, and also changes that last paragraph of this page. - Lieutenant Ayala 18:20, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

The page is wrong. IIRC, Janos was an experiment utilizing DNA from several species, including Mugato. --Turtletrekker 19:13, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
