The Ryemaren is a "Union Patrol craft". All in favor of "UPC Ryemaren"? – AT2Howell 00:10, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- Unless it is said in the book I don't think it should be on this wiki.--Long Live the United Earth 01:48, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- But "Imperial Klingon Battlecruiser" Bleck would still be IKS Bleck. How about just "UP Ryemaren? – AT2Howell 17:22, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
If there is no evidence of them using an acronym (as there is for IKS) then we should not assume they do. --8of5 17:32, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, we've seen IKS used in other sources for other ships so we know the Klingons use the acronym, even if it wasn't specifically applied the Bleck. -- Captain MKB 18:10, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
The USS Voyager gets really tore up in the opening of this book. The ship gets rebuilt with local technology, changing the look of the craft. The ship then enters the service of the Vostigye and is called the "Delta Coalition Starship Voyager". Should this count as a different ship than USS Voyager? Much like the CSS Virginia was originaly the "USS Merrimack". I'm thinking: DCS Voyager – AT2Howell 02:32, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- Again, unless they actually showed in the book that these were people who used the acronym as a prefix, I would say it would be wrong to link that. Plus, it is still the same ship so I'd say that, even if the ship were renamed with a new prefix, it would just redirect back to the Voyager page. -- Captain MKB 03:19, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- Alright. The Delta Coalition ended up joining the United Federation of Planets anyway, so I guess it became USS Voyager again. – AT2Howell 03:51, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
