The two are connected, perhaps, but not synonymous, and I'm also fairly certain nothing was mentioned in the film or novelization about a "prototype fusion reactor."

No, the word "Plasma" is never uttered in the film, and there is no connection between what Uhura and Chekov took from the reactor and the Trek concept of plasma. --TimPendragon 00:39, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Agreed -- another round of Ensignsisko's falsehoods reverted. Perhaps if we keep him banned long enough we'll be able to clean up all the damage he's done to this database. I just found a months-old inaccuracy at El-Aurian also. -- Captain MKB 02:34, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
