Talk:Russian language

Back to page

Did the novel use "dos" or "doz"? The usual transcription is "das vidanya" (sometimes as two words, sometimes as one). The Cyrilic is "До свидания", which directly transcribes as Do svidaniya. Oudachy is usually udachi (Удачи): "good luck"--Emperorkalan 00:44, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

A question to those who might know: how are variations of these phrases capitalized originally/and when transliterated? -- Captain MKB 03:21, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Sulu put out "Dos Vidaniya". That's all I know. Had a roomate in college who took Russian, but I never learned. The Navy shut down the base library here, so I can't check there. – AT2Howell 15:32, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
