Canon version vs novel?
Edit
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to separate the article on the real novel and the one on the Cardassian one? The script has it as "The Never-Ending Sacrifice". -- DS9 Forever 17:36, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- Probably use the canon spelling (with hyphen) for the Cardassian novel and the non-hyphenated spelling for the real-life novel (as long as that's how the real one looks) -- Captain MKB 17:44, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- I see the cover has the title as "The Never-Ending Sacrifice". -- DS9 Forever 14:07, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- We label one "The Never-Ending Sacrifice (DS9 novel)" and one "The Never-Ending Sacrifice (Cardassian novel)." Simple. :) -- Sci 20:40 25 MARCH 2009 UTC
- Yeah, "simple" if you're not the one typing it out as a citation 100 times. --75.168.158.43 02:11, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Could go down the Articles of the Federation and Articles of the Federation (document) route and have the novel as the undisambiguated page (for ease of citation and once its released probably many more links to it from those citations) and the in-universe novel with something like (Cardassian novel) after it. --8of5 17:07, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- So... this still needs to be dealt with. Hyphen or no? -- sulfur 21:54, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
- I think that disambiguation of both is a bit ridiculous -- we should probably pick one to avoid disambiguating, and use a simple disambiguation The Never-Ending Sacrifice (novel) is appropriate and leave the fictional Cardassian one at its original name.. -- Captain MKB 22:14, September 10, 2009 (UTC)
I still prefer the Articles of the Federation model to disambiguate the in-universe novel, which will probably have far fewer links to it. --8of5 15:06, September 11, 2009 (UTC)
