I reverted the addition regarding the "shark" meaning -- there were no complete sentences there, so it didn't make any sense anyway, I think you might have to try harder in composing a complete thought to explain that one.

As it stands, there is no Star Trek source that explains why they used the "shark" name, so we really should not be speculating about that here -- please read our policy on assumptions and speculation before adding more notes like this.
