This article states that the Soviet Union ceases to be in 1991. However this is contradicted by the TNG Novel 'Ghost Ship'. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? RicoRichmond 16:44, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

What does Ghost Ship say? From your post alone my inclination would be to have the article text reflect what our sources provide and add background notes to explain if that varies from actual history. Any idea if we have other sources that actually give the information with the "correct" dating? --8of5 19:55, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

'Ghost Ship' made reference to the Soviet Union existing at least as late as 1995. This was explained in the link I provided. And no I don't know if there were any other relavent links other than the ones allready there. In any case the ' Probe' and 'Ghost Ship' novels seem to contradict each other.
