Should it be noted that the Forge concept originated with TAS, was expanded upon by fandom, and was ignored by canon until Enterprise season four? --TimPendragon 18:11, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Furthermore, isn't the Forge more accurately a desert, rather than a canyon? --TimPendragon 18:12, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
I'd agree, desert, New Worlds, New Civilizations describes it as a plain between the Great T'Kala Sea and the Kurat Mountains. -- 8of5 18:20, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
TAS, The Vulcan Academy Murders, Spock's World, all of the Sherman and Schwartz novels (especially Vulcan's Forge), and just about everything else out there treats it as a desert. We only saw part of the Forge in Enterprise. --TimPendragon 19:25, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
