Crewman Tamboline was a Starfleet petty officer assigned to the USS Enterprise in the 2260s.

In 2265, Tamboline switched from the operations division to the sciences division, and was being personally trained in the various jobs and roles of the department by Lieutenant Commander Spock. (TOS novel: Crucible: The Fire and the Rose)
