The Taurhai Unity is an advanced and powerful government power that exists on the far side of Romulan space. They were engaged in hostilities with the Romulan Star Empire for thirty years, using artificial subspace funnels to take several Romulan colony planets, and a few other major worlds. The planet Chi'tan was the Taurhai homeworld. Taurhai space contained the Chi'tan system, portions of Tullus and V'varian sectors and, on the border, the Gains star system.
