The Tellar Space Administration was a branch of the Federation Starfleet. The TSA was responsible for operational support and supply and maintained its own fleet of starships. Its chief, Admiral Mov chim Flar, was one of the five chiefs of staff of the nascent Starfleet. The insignia was a stylized hoof. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: A Choice of Futures)

History[]

The Tellar Space Administration became a branch of Starfleet following the founding of the United Federation of Planets in 2161. The TSA inherited its staff and assets from the Tellarite defense force. TSA personnel adopted the Starfleet uniform, set apart from other divisions by the TSA insignia, and its ships adopted the "USS" prefix.

By 2162, the Tellarite chief of staff was Admiral Mov chim Flar. He participated in meetings with the Federation President. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: A Choice of Futures)

On November 10th, 2163, Captain Brantik was in command of a TSA fleet in the Iota Pegasi system, facing a standoff with Human colonists claiming the Voortrekker asteroid. The standoff was defused by Captain T'Pol and Commander Hoshi Sato of UESPA starship USS Endeavour. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Tower of Babel)

In the mid-23rd century, Tellar Space Administration operated a supply ship crewed by Humans, the USS Antares. The ship was lost with all hands on stardate 1535.8 (2266). (TOS episode: "Charlie X")

On stardate 7101.6 (2270), Commander Brog, commanding officer, had his ship respond to a distress signal sent by Lavota Wind. Unfortunately, the Lavota Wind had been destroyed by the time Brog's ship arrived. (TOS - Burden of Knowledge comic: "A Matter of Perspective")
