"The Frontier" was the name given to a class M moon by the survivors of the crashed colony ship commanded by Captain Mendez. "The Frontier" was inhabited from 2225 until at least 2267, when the colony was discovered by the crew of the USS Enterprise. (TOS short story: "The Leader")
