SummaryEdit

Captain's Log, Stardate 42361.8. The derelict ship to which we transported our away team has proven to be anything but dead. Suddenly, it is very much alive. We have lost contact with Commander Riker and the rest of the team -- due to some sort of interference generated by the derelict. At the same time, the ship has taken off at high warp speeds that we cannot match. We find ourselves losing ground moment by moment. What's more, a small crack in our dilithium crystal has invited the possibility of our warp engines shutting down, an occurrence which would leave us crawling through space, while the so-called derelict robs us of our crewmates. As strange as it sounds, this appears to be a purposeful abduction. As if the derelict were an ancient mousetrap -- and we were the mice. But who would go to all that trouble to capture a handful of Federation personnel? And more important, for what purpose?
