Thomas Wolfe (October 3, 1900 - September 15, 1938) was a Human writer. He coined the phrase "You can't go home again."

In 2378, the Traveler quoted this phrase to Wesley Crusher after telling him that he could visit the Enterprise, but wouldn't see it as he once did. (TNG novel: A Time to Be Born)

In 2379, Captain Momosaki and Decalon discussed the works of Thomas Wolfe. (TNG novel: Death in Winter)

In 2385, Julian Bashir quoted this phrase in his personal log, noting that in his case it was also literally true. (ST - The Fall novel: A Ceremony of Losses)
