A time travel arm of the United Federation of Planets in the 29th century. It is similar to the Federation Starfleet, apparently a fusion of that military organization with the civilian Department of Temporal Investigations. While this organization does appear to adhere to its own version of the Temporal Prime Directive, it does take direct action in trying to prevent or undo alterations to the timeline that it deems outside the realm of "normal" course of history. As such, even though the DTI currently believes the Timefleet's intentions to be benign, it has instructed its agents to use extreme caution in any dealings with representatives of the Timefleet (or any other time travelers from the future) and not to cooperate with them when it does not seem wise to do so.
