Tiranax was a Klingon mining colony located in Sector 418-D. Tiranax was rich in mineral resources, and was supposedly the location of a state-of-the-art automated mining and processing facility. In reality, the Tiranax facility was an incomplete shell, and had not yet begun operation as of 2291. Klingon General Navok showed the Tiranax facility to Starfleet Captain Spock and former Admiral Harry Morrow to illustrate the true state of the Empire, and the danger the Federation would face if the Romulans were to conquer their weakened enemies.
