Trachus was a planet located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrants of the galaxy. This world was known to the Federation during the 23rd century, and by 2268 it was known that Trachus was the home of the leaf-palace builder insect lifeforms. (TOS novel: Vulcan!)
