Transreplication is a method of medical treatment which is popular in the 31st century. It involves the use of the transporter and replicator, both of which give the process its name, to repair traumatic injuries to any lifeform. (Transreplication also requires the patient's complete genetic profile in order to operate properly.) After Marion Dulmur was shot during a Certoss attack, his life was saved by transreplication.

However, transreplication is not infallible; if any life form is so seriously injured or ill that they can't be saved, they are said to have been finalkilled. (DTI eBook: The Collectors)
