The Tsoran mine was a site in the Katanga Mountains on planet Farius Prime. The mine had apparently been abandoned as of 2336. Arava, an old friend of Commander Samir al-Halak, hid a shuttle near the Tsoran mine which she offered to Halak and his companion, Anisar Batra, to get off-planet. (TLE novel: Well of Souls)

It is unclear whether "Tsoran" refers to the owner of the mine, its location, the substance mined, or other distinguishing quality. It may be that there is a connection to the Tsorans featured in the TNG novel Tooth and Claw.
