"Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star" was an old Earth nursery rhyme.

José Tyler and James T. Kirk sang this song to Ecma to keep her alive. (TOS novel: The Rift)

In 2368, a young child residing aboard the USS Enterprise-D asked a Cordian ambassador to play the rhyme on himself after coming under the impression that he was an accordion. According to the ambassador, he had been asked the same question on a number of occasions, and vowed to learn how to play it. (TNG novel: Imzadi)
