The UNSS Icarus was a UNSF Columbus-class sublight starship in service in the mid-21st century.

The Icarus became famous for being the first Earth vessel to reach Alpha Centauri after a six-year voyage (2042-2048), and establish first contact with the native Alpha Centaurans. (TOS reference: Spaceflight Chronology, TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)
