The USS Agamemnon (NCC-11638) was a Federation Apollo-class light cruiser in service to Starfleet in the mid to late 24th century. She was named in honor of a legendary character from Homer's Illiad. (ST reference: Encyclopedia, ST video game: Legacy)

In 2341, the Agamemnon, under the command of Captain Yannora, brought some pre-Academy cadets to Starbase 93. (TNG - Starfleet Academy novel: Mystery of the Missing Crew)

In 2369, the Agamemnon, under the command of Captain Kintu, was near the planet Iomides, and was able to respond when Commander William T. Riker and an away team from the USS Enterprise-D needed assistance. (TNG novel: The Death of Princes)

Shortly after, the Agamemnon was assigned to Task Force Three along with the Enterprise and the USS Crazy Horse in response to a Borg incursion on Ohniaka III. (TNG episode & novelization: Descent)

In 2371, the USS LaSalle met with the Agamemnon to pick up Lieutenant Estaban Lopez. The Agamemnon and the La Salle had patrols that took them to similar places. (DS9 novel: Saratoga)
