The USS Andromeda was a 24th century Federation starship, an Akira-class heavy cruiser in Starfleet service in the 2370s decade, one of a number of ships to be named after the constellation of Andromeda and the galaxy of Andromeda.

Service history and disposition[]

This ship was in active service around the year 2376. It was later succeeded in its name by the Galaxy-class USS Andromeda. (ST video game: Armada)

No specific history or definitive final fate was established for this vessel as its name was selected for a cruiser by the Armada game developers, and is placed randomly each time the ship appears.

Ensign Natasha Stolovitzky and Lieutenant Zelik Leybenzon served in the security department aboard Andromeda at some point before they transferred to the USS Enterprise-E. (TNG novel: Q & A)
