This is one of a number of ships to be so named, succeeding the earlier Saber-class USS Arian. (Last Unicorn RPG module: The Price of Freedom, Decipher RPG module: Starfleet Operations Manual)
- The RPG Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 1: The Ships of Starfleet, published by Last Unicorn Games after they had lost their Star Trek license, lists the Arian registry as NCC-65110.
