In 2367, the Bonestell was destroyed by a Borg cube's cutting beam when recording tactical data for Starfleet during the Battle of Wolf 359. The explosion of the Bonestell was visible through the window of Benjamin Sisko's quarters as Sisko discovered the body of his wife Jennifer.
