The USS Calypso was a 23rd century Federation starship, a Hermes-class class I scout. In the 2260s, the Calypso was commanded by a Vulcan captain named Selik.

In the 2260s, the Calypso was destroyed after being infected by a colony of parasitic creatures that had been taken aboard following a stop-off at Bellaea. Before self destructing, the crew of the Calypso managed to launch a message buoy, which was later recovered by the USS Republic. (TOS novel: Vulcan!)
