The USS Carolina (NCC-42050) was a Federation Centaur-class medium cruiser starship in Starfleet service in the 24th century. The Carolina was in active service around the 2370s decade, and was named for the region on Earth's North American continent. (ST video game: Legacy)
In the late 2370s, the Carolina was commanded by Captain Peterson. In 2377, Admiral Owen Paris ordered the Carolina to intercept a Ferengi D'Kora-class vessel that was interfering with the Pathfinder Project's efforts to communicate with the USS Voyager. (VOY episode: "Inside Man")
