The USS Carter was a Federation Oberth-class science vessel starship in service to Starfleet in the 23rd and 24th centuries.

This ship was used in the elite Klingon Command Academy bridge crew training simulations for the class of 2290. As such, she was encountered in the Regas star system in a simulated mission, in company with the USS Armstrong. (ST video game: Klingon Academy)
