The USS Champion was a Federation Defiant-class escort/destroyer starship in Starfleet service in the 24th century. This ship was in active service around the 2370s decade, and was one of a number of vessels bearing this name. (TNG video games: Armada, Armada II)
This ship was a successor in the name Champion. The previous Miranda-class USS Champion, had been in service as of the late 23rd century. (ST roleplay module: Federation Ship Recognition Manual)
