The USS Chinook was a Federation starship in service in the 24th century. During the 2370s, the Chinook was commanded by Captain Christa Otis.

In 2376, the Chinook was the first starship to arrive at the scene where the USS Lincoln was engulfed by the Enigma starship. Unable to find the exact location of the vessel, the Chinook performed extensive scans of the region, and sent two crewmembers out in EVA suits to place buoys around the supposed edge of the Enigma. Those two crewmembers were also engulfed by Enimga, but the Chinook was forced to withdraw for an urgent medical mission on Salem II. Fortunately, the two crewmen and the Lincoln were later recovered by the crew of the USS da Vinci. (SCE eBook: Enigma Ship)
