The USS Constellation was a Federation Sovereign-class heavy explorer starship under construction by Starfleet in the mid-2370s.

In 2375, Starfleet called upon Captain Montgomery Scott to make refinements to the design and portions of the Constellation after previously conducting refinements to the USS Sovereign and the USS Enterprise-E. (ST novel: Spectre)
