The stardate given would seem to suggest this ship was ordered during the TOS era. It is not known if this vessel was constructed, as the source only specifies that the vessels were authorized for construction.

By the 2280s, this vessel's name had been passed on to the Miranda-class USS De Ruyter. (TOS video game: Starfleet Command)
