The USS Der Sonnenaufgang was a Miranda-class Federation starship in operation during the late 24th century. The ship was configured as a "cargo" variant, with cargo and supplies-carrying capacity maximized and lacking the weapons pod of the standard Miranda configuration.

In 2379 the Der Sonnenaufgang was part of the Federation aid/diplomatic mission to Romulus following the death of Praetor Shinzon. At the end of that mission Der Sonnenaufgang carried Ambassador Spock back to Earth. (TTN novel: Taking Wing)

"Der Sonnenaufgang" is German for "The Sunrise".
