The USS Enterprise (CVN-80) is a Gerald R. Ford class nuclear powered aircraft carrier which is slated to enter service in the year 2025, replacing the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69). Enterprise will be the third Ford-class carrier, along with her sister ships the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) and the USS John F. Kennedy (CVN-79). She is also the third carrier in United States Navy registry to have borne the name Enterprise. Service life is expected to be at least 50 years.
