For other uses, see Fletcher.

The USS Fletcher was a 25th century Federation starship, a Starfleet vessel in service in the early 25th century. (STO: Cardassian Struggle Second Wave)

Service history and disposition[]

Commander Phillipa Matthias served aboard the Fletcher some time after leaving her post aboard Deep Space 9. (STO mission: "First Contact Day")

In 2409 the Fletcher was stationed outside DS9 during an international conference on the threat posed by the Borg Collective. When this conference was interrupted by the arrival of a Dominion battle group led by Loriss and First Kar'ukan, the Fletcher engaged a group of Jem'Hadar starships to help cover the evacuation. She was assisted by another passing starship. (STO: Cardassian Struggle Second Wave)

Memory Beta

The Fletcher's class and registry number are not consistent and it can appear in "Second Wave" as any Starfleet cruiser, escort, or science vessel.

The Fletcher, along with its companions USS Opaka and Phinda, can be destroyed in "Second Wave". As it makes no further appearances in Star Trek Online it is unclear whether this represents a canonical loss. An accolade, "Champion Chaperone", is awarded for saving all four ships (counting the USS Belfast, which is invincible).

The name presumably refers back to one of two United States Navy destroyers named USS FletcherWP.
