The USS Flying Fortress was a Rickenbacker-class Federation starship in service in the early 23rd century.
In the late 2220s, the Flying Fortress was hijacked and destroyed by Klingons. One of the crewmembers killed was the son of Luther Whitetree. (TOS novel: Worlds Apart: The Final Reflection)
