The USS Forrestal (CV-59) was an aircraft carrier in service to the United States Navy in the mid-20th century. It was commissioned in October 1955.

In the year 2364, Deanna Troi found an entry for the Forrestal in the USS Enterprise-D computer while searching for information regarding the ship crew with whom she had briefly made telepathic contact. (TNG novel: Ghost Ship)
